For some reason I don't usually like femdom books. Maybe because I find it hard to associate with the character. Not being much of a Domme myself. Most authors seem to make the character so large and in charge that you forget that they are a soft feminine woman underneath the Domme. Not so with Ann Mayburn's femdom books. I loved the dynamic between Emma and Ryan. The immediate connection was fierce and sexy. The love and devotion that Ryan has for Emma even after all these years, was beautiful and touching. Ryan makes her forget that she is the Domme, even just for a little bit. He cherishes her, will do anything for her, if she would just give him the chance. This novella is the first in a three novella series, so while First Kiss does end with a Happy for Now, the story continues in the next book, Second Touch, and the third book, Third Chance, which has an expected publication date of February 27th, 2014. A fourth book is very possible, I'll just have to wait and see what Emma and Ryan want me to do. ;)

Scorching Fast Paced Read!

I’ve done it! I have finally popped my Ann Mayburn cherry! I’ve seen posts about Ann and her books all over Facebook and now I finally get the chance to rave about her myself! First Kiss is book 1 in Ann’s new FemDom series, Emma’s Arabian Nights. First Kiss was a short, sexy, fast-paced romance. Don’t let the short part scare you, because even though it was a quick read for me, it was full of erotic awesomeness! I don’t read a lot of FemDom romances, because there is nothing better than a gorgeous, possessive, demanding Dom. But if Ms. Mayburn keeps creating her male submissives like Ryan, I will not have any trouble reading more FemDom in the future.
Emma is a Pro-Domme who doesn’t normally take house calls for submissives. Her boss and her best friend, Moira, who is a character that I loved by the way, talked her in to speaking with the loaded mysterious male. Something about the man pulled Emma in and she agrees to meet him for one session to see how it goes.
“I want to care for you the way you deserve. I want to worship you and make you happy. I think you’re perfect and I want to treat you the way you deserve.”
That’s all it took. Those three sentences jogged Emma’s memory and rocked her world. Those three sentences brought back memories of regret and the best kiss she has ever had. When Emma finds out the truth, does she have the strength to stay away, or will another kiss pull her back in?

But don’t worry, Ms. Mayburn will not make us wait too long, because book #2 is coming out January 2nd! I’ll be counting down the days! I need to know more about this wonderful journey of Emma Simonov and Ryan Darwish.

Hot D*mn!!! This book was so hot, it was almost explosive. If you want to take a dip into Femdom than Ann Mayburn is your woman! She writes the most amazing Dommes and Emma was no different.
Emma is a pro-Domme who is working her behind off trying to support her parents and herself. I really liked her because she seemed to really care about her clients. She was a very good Mistress. I liked how she dealt with Ryan because he wasn’t always the best at behaving. Lol
Ryan is a sweetheart!! (Be careful ladies or he will steal your heart) He has been in love with Emma since high school. I loved how he worshipped Emma and got his happiness from making her happy. He could have came off a bit stalkerish but Ann wrote him so well that all he was just very devoted. Plus he was extremely sexy when he submitted to Emma.
I can’t wait for the next book! I think I may have actually yelled “NO!!” when this one ended. This was a wonderful beginning to Emma and Ryan’s relationship. I love second chance love stories so that made it twice as good.

A fun hot read!

BDSM is all the rage now since that book was released. Women are swooning at the powerful handsome Doms that our favorite authors are giving us. We all want to feel treasured and owned like the beautiful submissive women in the stories. Even the "vanilla" are tantalized by these stories. Now vanilla isn't bad at all but the fascination with BDSM is that it comes in many flavors and different toppings. So when you see that handsome, powerful and drool worthy man he just might be the one on his knees worshiping a strong, confident, beautiful woman.
First Kiss, is the first book in Ann Mayburn's series Emma's Arabian Nights.
Emma is a pro Domme at Kiss of Blue where she works for her best friend Moira. When Moira calls Emma in early for a meeting and the promise of coffee and croissants from her favorite bakery she knows something is up. We all have a friend like Moira. You know that friend who not only can make any crazy idea sound like the adventure of a life time but get you to join her in it. She has an offer for Emma. One that will make it easier to help her parents with their financial problems and get her some extra cash to go back to school. The only problem is this offer would include Emma breaking one of her rules. Never see a client outside of the dungeon at Kiss of Blue.
Moira's description of a man who is into worship and wants to treat her like a queen. Built, muscular you know those bad ass boys that you have to fight to tame. A high power submissive not someone who will just roll over and surrender immediately. This had Emma considering this offer because she does love a challenge. Hello Ryan! One look at this mystery man with pale amber eyes and Emma is thinking she may consider breaking a few of her rules. As they are talking Ryan proves to be everything Moira said he was and more. So why not just have a couple sessions here at Kiss of Blue, see where things go? So even though Emma keeps having deja vu moments making her feel like she is missing something, she agrees to meet him in the dungeon at Kiss of Blue.
Who needs the Myth Busters when we have Ann Mayburn to dispel the myths of Dommes being cold, heartless women and the male submissive being weak. She has given us a confident woman with a sense of humor who knows what she wants, likes and enjoys taking it. As well as a strong successful man who has the desire to not only please a woman but also submit to her desires. Your going to love the byplay between Emma and Moira. You might even have a wish for a little deja vu of your own when you find out Ryan's secret.
Second Touch, book two of this series is already out. Book three is the works as well.
