This book was awesome...
I love these characters, their strength, weaknesses, everything about them..
I cannot wait to see what happens with Jacob..
I so want to look after Victor, such a sweetie, this may not be a good way to describe an Angel of Death but hey I think he is adorable...
I read this in 2 sittings, only because I had to sleep sometime..
I would very much like to give this more than 5 stars...
Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a really good solid read...

This took place WHERE? NYC?? No way........................

This book is a continuation of a previous book, so don't read it unless you've read the first installment.
I didn't like this book as much as I did the first one. I enjoyed the continuation of the story and the plot development, but a few things annoyed me to the point that I had difficulty enjoying it.
First of all, I don't much like Ellie's twin, Jacob, who behaves like a twelve year old boy for the most part and is little more than annoying for most of the scenes he's in.
Secondly, although this book supposedly takes place in NYC it has so many inaccuracies about life in NY that I actually checked at one point to see if I imagined that that's where it took place.
People who live in NYC don't live in "quaint, little homes." There are no "convenience stores," much less convenience stores with parking spots in front and on the side. They don't drive to work and park outside their office buildings. They don't drive to church and park in front. They don't move to mansions on "the hillside," and NY TV stations start with W, not K. K is reserved for stations west of the Mississippi.
While minor, these inaccuracies show a lack of research or caring about details that I found disturbing.
I'm going to read book 3 because I'm interested in where everything is going, and I hope I can give it more than three stars.

Intense, must read second novel in the Equilibrium series. Loved it.

When the first story in this series, The Core, concluded I knew that this series had the potential to be simply amazing. The Light only reinforces that feeling. I’ve already preordered The Future (the third book in the series that releases in August 2015) and if that doesn’t tell you what I think of this series, I don’t know what would. Note: I rarely preorder, I wait usually. But this time I didn’t want to depend on my memory of when to head to the store, I just went for it.
Usually in a review I’ll give a very light recap of the beginning of the novel. Not enough to give much away, but a kind of tease. (I never give away endings in my reviews)
I feel strongly about where the depth of this series is heading to not want to give even that much away. You have the basics in the synopsis to tease you into wondering if this novel is for you or not. (and I’m sure numerous reviews that will give you more on Goodreads, Amazon or Barnes & Noble) I truly believe this is one of those series that you just have to sit down and get lost in another world and experience it firsthand.
There are more twists and turns in The Light than a serpent let loose in a garden could create… and they all matter to the story. So, you really need to get into this series. If you enjoy paranormal, if the hint of romance is enough to keep you reading, if you relish the battles between good and evil, if you love an involved, engaging and entertaining long series – then I highly recommend The Light and Equilibrium, the series to you. Go check it out. Start with The Core (which was at an amazing low price of free at Amazon recently – don’t know for how long though) and then move on to The Light. Get ready for a ride you never imagined and to care about what happens to the characters you will find within this alternative world.
